Question #1: I have signed up for a class, but I am not able to attend. What are my options?

Answer: Per our policy -

  • If the class is more than 7 days away, reach out to us and we will help you with a refund or credit.
  • If the class is less than 7 days away, we are not able to guarantee a credit. You can:
    • Transfer the ticket to someone else (friend, family, etc.)
    • Resell the ticket to someone else
    • Contact us and we will relist the ticket, and if it resells, we will provide you credit torwards a future class.

Question #2: If I don't want to do the above, can I get an exchange for the same class in the future or an entirely different class?

Answer: We only offer exchanges through credit, issued from the policy above. If credit is issued, it may be used for any class.

Question #3: Why am I not able to get a refund/credit/exchange automatically?

Answer: The short answer is that all of our classes are priced for us to break even and avoid losing money. All of our teachers are paid regardless of how many students attend and all materials are purchased in advance. Our admin staff are all unpaid volunteers. As a community nonprofit that does not receive federal funds or corporate donations, we cannot offer refunds outside of our policy.

Question #4: My child is interested in learning more about DIY/trades. Can they attend a class?

Answer: Our classes are 18+ only. We reserve the right to check ID's at check-in and refuse entry to those under 18 or fail to produce ID.

Question #5: I attended a class but I would like to contact the instructor with some additional questions. How can I reach them?

Answer: Please send us your question for the instructor and we will pass along the message for you.
